Sarkozy Says Burqas Are Unwelcome in France

I think Religion was the science of it's time. Please think expansively on this: not eating certain foods, or following certain rituals were intended to ensure survival, harmony, etc of that particular group of humans.
Survival being the core principle of any living being, there is safety in numbers and hence the need to protect its female populace. It is possible that the burqa was the "solution" or "extreme step" needed in this regard during the time of its inception and was (has been) stupendously successful.
From strictly this point of view, I believe it is currently antiquated, since laws of every nations are designed to "protect" women.
On a similar line of thought - maybe, the laws of natural selection are interrupted by the burqa. But we ingenious humans have long passed that critical mass required for our sustenance.
Any animal which does not adapt to its environment endangers its survivability (Luckily humans have evolved way past that and hence, this thread even exists.)
Thus following the rules of the land (in this case whatever is decided in France) leads to harmony (in most cases anyway :) )
I hope the ECB also concentrates on employment, an idle mind ...
